Nmecha Makes An Impact On England U20s Debut

19 November 2018

On-loan Manchester City striker made quite the impact from the bench as he made his first appearance for England U20s on Monday night.

The forward came off the bench on the 63rd minute for Paul Simpson's side, and made an immediate impact setting up the opening goal just three minutes later.

He slid the ball in to Willock who finished powerfully at the near post to put the young lions ahead. Nmecha then went from provider to goalscorer just three minutes as he doubled England's lead.

Nketiah squared the ball to the PNE man who finished into an empty net on the 69th minute, to mark his debut for the U20s in fine fashion.

Elsewhere on the international stage, Callum Robinson was a second-half substitute for Republic of Ireland in their 0-0 draw with Denmark. That's the forward's sixth cap for Martin O'Neill's side after coming off the bench for the final 25 minutes of the game.

The pair will now return to Springfields ahead of Saturday's derby match against Blackburn Rovers.
