Robinson Full Of Praise For PNE And Ireland Teammate Browne

14 November 2018

Callum Robinson has impressed since joining the Republic of Ireland set up, and has been involved in every game since receiving international clearance to play for Martin O'Neill's side.

The forward is one of three North End players in the latest squad, with Alan Browne and Sean Maguire also selected to represent their country during the latest international break.

Browne has just three caps so far, but Robinson feels the midfielder will have plenty more ahead of him as he heaped praise on his North End teammate when speaking to the Irish media ahead of Thursday's friendly against Northern Ireland in Dublin.

“Alan is a very good player. He’s played a lot of games already for his age. I think he’s got so much to give. I personally think he can get to the top.

“He’s got legs for days, man.” said Robinson. “He can get up and down the pitch. He’ll get goals as well, as we’ve seen last season. He got nine goals." Robinson continued.

“He’s always getting himself in the box, but then he’s there winning second balls. Yeah, he’s a very good player and obviously, as a friend, I’m buzzing to see him grow as a player and become the player he’s become since he joined Preston, and he's grown each year.”

The PNE trio could all feature for Ireland on Thursday evening as they host Northern Ireland at the Aviva Stadium at 7.45pm. The squad will then travel to Denmark for their UEFA Nations League clash on Monday evening.

We will have updates and reaction here on PNE.Com and across social media if any of the PNE boys are involved in either game.
