PNE Podcast: Season Two Episode 14

10 October 2018

Alex Neil joins us as our studio guest this week on the official PNE club podcast following PNE’s emphatic home win over Wigan Athletic.

Available through both iTunes and Soundcloud, the podcast is available on a weekly basis throughout the course of the season.

Also, the latest episode is also available directly here on the club website below.

Manager Alex Neil joins host Guy Clarke in the studio this week to reflect on North End’s start to the season, ahead of the upcoming international break this weekend.

Reflecting on the 4-0 win over Wigan Athletic at Deepdale, the boss discusses his forward options with Sean Maguire returning from injury as well as the impact of on loan Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha in recent weeks.

The club’s run of form at the beginning of the new season is also addressed as well as the aims going forward into the rest of the season.

Midfielder Paul Gallagher also speaks exclusively to the podcast about his mindset in taking penalties following another successful spot-kick at Deepdale in the win over the Latics.

He talks about an important goalscoring landmark on the horizon as well as the need for the squad to back up recent showings against Aston Villa and Wigan.

Ahead of this year’s Non League Day, former PNE forward and current Longridge Town manager Lee Ashcroft shares his ‘Star Six’.

He shares his recollections on the best players he turned out with at Deepdale, including taking us inside the dressing room mentality during his two spells with the club.

All that plus the latest ‘Talk of the Terrace’ and midfielder Daniel Johnson looks ahead to the return to action after the break.

The podcast is brought to you on a weekly basis through iTunes, Soundcloud, TuneIn and right here on the club website.
