PNE Quartet Called Up To Latest Republic Of Ireland Squad

4 October 2018

North End are once again well represented in the latest Republic of Ireland squad with four players included in the provisional squad to face Denmark and Wales.

Alan Browne, Callum Robinson and Graham Burke have all been called up to Martin O'Neill's squad for their upcoming UEFA Nations League double header.

Sean Maguire has also been named in the provisional squad, but the frontman has not played since injuring his hamstring in the final pre-season game against Oldham Athletic on 27th July and is unlikely to be able to join up if he is not ready to return for the Lilywhites, as he will not have started a game for nearly three months.

Browne, Robinson and Burke will be hoping to add to their caps in the crucial clashes against Denmark and Wales.

Ireland face Denmark in Dublin on Saturday 13th October, before hosting Wales three days later on Tuesday 16th October.

Republic of Ireland have played just one game in the UEFA Nations League campaign so far, which saw a 4-1 defeat away to Wales in September, so Martin O'Neill's side will be hoping to avenge the loss at the Aviva Stadium this time around.
