Callum Robinson and Sean Maguire were both in action for Republic of Ireland on Tuesday night.
Robinson made his third start for Martin O'Neill's side as they took on Wales in the Nations League, to earn his fourth cap for Ireland.
It ended in defeat for the boys in green, Harry Wilson's superb free-kick the difference on the night, but Robinson impressed once again after a positive performance from the bench on Saturday evening against Denmark.
Sean Maguire had his first taste of international football this season after recovering from a hamstring injury, he replaced his North End teammate Robinson for the final half an hour as Ireland trailed 1-0.
Fellow PNE man Alan Browne was an unused substitute after he missed out on the matchday squad on Saturday.
The three players will return to Springfields on Thursday morning as the focus turns to the trip to Hull City on Saturday.
