Students Get Started With Their Studies

20 September 2018

It's certainly been a busy first couple of weeks for the Preston North End students with plenty going on as they now fully settle into their studies after their introduction.

Whilst we were delighted to welcome some familiar faces from last year, the course also welcomed new students who were introduced to the exciting work and learning experiences ahead for them.

Students kicked off the year with a photocall at Deepdale, where they posed for their individual headshots and team shots proudly wearing the Preston North End kit. Take a look at their profiles here.

There was of course some basic house keeping to cover such as a social media talk, inbetween introductory training sessions and some friendly fixtures.

With minutes under their belt in non-competitive fixtures, the serious stuff began last week with the new EFL Community and Education Football Alliance League launching, and both male and female teams began as they mean to go on with a 4-1 win over Rotherham for the girls and a 6-0 win over Blackpool for the boys.

Although the team is starting to gel, there’s still a place for you if you’re looking at continuing your education at Preston North End!

You may have started a post-16 course and realised it’s not for you, or you may still be looking for the next path of your education for this academic year, we offer a level two and three diploma in sport and exercise which may be the next venture you’ve been searching for!

Alternatively, you may be going through your options for next year and seeing where the next path of your education, and if you're in Year 11 or above and wanting to put the passion you have for football and sport to good use.

We're hosting open evening sessions for those interested on the following dates at the community offices from 6pm:

Thursday 18th October
Thursday 29th November
