New signing Tom Bayliss is looking forward to getting started at Deepdale after putting pen to paper on a four year deal.
The young midfielder joined from Coventry City as North End's fourth signing of the summer and is excited about his development under PNE boss Alex Neil.
Speaking to iFollow PNE after signing the deal, the 20-year-old said: "As soon as I heard about the interest I couldn't wait to get here and get the deal done and meet the gaffer and I can't wait to get started now.
"The sheer size of the stadium as we pulled on to the car park, it's massive, it's a massive club and I just can't wait to show what I can do now."
On his hopes of progressing under the manager, he continued: "The gaffer knows what qualities I've got and he thinks he can hone in on those skills and make be a better player and be able to play week in, week out at this level.
"He likes bringing young players through and obviously I'm hungry, I'm young and I just want to learn and I want to play at the highest level that I possibly can. So it's brilliant that I am here and I can't wait to get started."
He continued: "The gaffer said to me that we've got a young, hungry group here with a few experienced lads in there as well so it's a really good mix and hopefully I can learn off the older pros and develop my game even more."
Bayliss is looking to get his first taste of action as soon as possible, and gave an insight in to what the fans can expect from him when given his chance on the pitch.
"I am here to improve and hopefully get the fans on the edge of their seat with exciting play and bring what I can to the table.
"I'm a box to box midfielder, I like to go past players and be creative but I also don't mind getting my foot in and doing the dirty work so hopefully I can show that when I get the chance."
