Andrea Gets Deserved Christmas Boost With Surprise Visit

24 December 2019

North End fan Andrea was given a deserved boost this Christmas when four PNE players turned up at her door to surprise her.

Sadly Andrea has been regularly bullied at school and the players went to show their support, present her with a new PNE shirt and spend some time with her and her family.

Skipper Tom Clarke, Paul Huntington, Declan Rudd and Brad Potts were those who made the visit to try and put a smile on Andrea's face this Christmas.

Speaking about the visit, Dec spoke of the importance of spreading some festive cheer and more importantly supporting Andrea against bullying.

"Andrea has had a tough time at school and she's not had the greatest of times so we've come out here to surprise her, give her a shirt and have a chat with her and try to cheer her up before the Christmas period.

"Its something that unfortunately goes on everywhere, there's not an easy way of stopping it but I think to get as much support as we can out to those who are being bullied, I think it's important to try and give them a happy time and to try and take their mind off things that are happening at school or wherever that bullying is taking place. So for us to be able to put a smile on someone's face and make their day is an absolute privilege."

North End captain Tom Clarke added: "It's a pleasure really for us to be in the position that we are in to come out and surprise Andrea and to be in a position to come out in the community and put smiles on faces and give people a boost.
