Joe Rafferty and Darnell Fisher have completed their three and two match suspensions respectively and will be in contention for selection for the clash with the Royals.

Patrick Bauer, who missed the Boxing Day trip to Leeds United through illness, should also be fit to return, giving the manager options in the defensive areas with all his players available in that area for the first time in a number of months.

Daniel Johnson is getting closer to joining back in training, but Louis Moult is definitely ruled out for the season after his ACL operation three months ago.
The manager has said that he will look to make changes after his side’s efforts at Elland Road and this the second of four games in the space ten days, with the majority of his options available to him.

Reading made two changes to their side which made it back-to-back wins with a Boxing Day success at home to QPR - match-winner John Swift and Pelé coming into the starting line-up, in place of Andy Rinomhota and the absent Sam Baldock.

There was a youthful look to Reading's bench, with Danny Loader and Michael Olise among the substitutes, with Matt Miazga and Jordan Obita both also fit enough for a place amongst the substitutes.

Baldock is unlikely to be fit to return from the groin injury that ruled him out of the win over the Rs, having picked it up five days previously in the 3-0 win over Derby County at the Madejski Stadium.
