Calum Woods Joins Bradford City On Permanent Deal

23 January 2019

Defender Calum Woods has agreed to join Bradford City on a permanent deal.

Woods has made 82 appearances for North End since joining the club in June 2014 and during his time at the club, Woods helped the Lilywhites to promotion to the Championship at Wembley back in 2015.

Speaking about Calum's departure, manager Alex Neil said: "Calum has been such a good pro since he's been here, we wanted to look after him as much as we could and I felt the only way of doing that was by getting him out and get him games.

"He doesn't want to be one of many players in the summer that haven't played a lot of matches and are going to be struggling for a contract, so I think Calum will be a great servant for Bradford.

"I think he's done very well here, unfortunately for him he's struggled with injuries for this last little bit but he looks in good nick just now, he's training well and we are really hopeful that going there can really help his career."

Everyone at Preston North End would like to thank Calum for his efforts during his time at Deepdale, and we wish Calum the best of luck for the future.
