The side’s meet for the second time this season, with a lot of water under the bridge since the first clash, at Deepdale, on the opening day of the season in August, when – like last season’s trip to Shepherd’s Bush – the game was settled by an Alan Browne header.

Since the early campaign encounter QPR have made a number of experienced additions to their side and picked up some excellent results – in fact, prior to last weekend’s trip to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane – they had gone six games unbeaten, so it will be a test for Alex Neil’s men.

However, following a battling point against Swansea City last weekend, they will be looking for three points on the road, with the manager hoping to have more members of his squad back available.
