Chorley v Preston North End Match Preview

15 July 2019

The Lilywhites return to Victory Park on Tuesday evening for the first time in three seasons, as they face the recently promoted Magpies.

It’s the second game against National League opposition in the space of a three days, after defeating AFC Fylde 4-0 at Mill Farm at the weekend, Sean Maguire on hand with a hat-trick and Billy Bodin grabbing the other goal.

It’s a 7pm kick-off for the game, as Alex Neil is expected to give 60 minutes to those that played 30 minutes against the Coasters and vice versa, with Maguire set for his second run out of pre-season.

The manager revealed on Saturday that Brad Potts should be fit to return to action for this coming weekend’s clash with Southampton at Deepdale after an injection, whilst Darnell Fisher is closing in on a return to training after dealing with a groin issue.

For the hosts, they had a good win at Longridge Town on Saturday, also 4-0, with former North End striker Chris Holroyd making his debut for Jamie Vermiglio’s side.

Tickets for trip to PR7 are priced at £7.50 for adults, £5 for those aged 12 to 16, and free for U12s. Tickets will be available on the night at Victory Park.
