Preston North End To Play Newcastle United In Friendly Fixture

19 July 2019

Preston North End have concluded an agreement to face Newcastle United in a friendly at Deepdale on Saturday 27th July.

Steve Bruce’s Magpies will visit PR1 for a 3pm kick-off in what will be the Lilywhites’ final fixture of their 2019/20 season preparations.

The two sides last met in another friendly in July 2017, in what was Alex Neil’s first home game in charge of the club; Tom Barkhuizen cancelling out Aleksandar Mitrovic’s early strike.

This time it will be new United boss Bruce’s first game in charge of his hometown club, in the UK, having been appointed to the role earlier this week.

Ticket prices have been set at £10 for adults, £5 concessions (over 65s and 19 to 24-year-olds) and £1 for U18s, with tickets still on sale from 2pm on Friday 19th Juy.

The stands open for home supporters will be the south end of the Sir Tom Finney Stand (closest the Alan Kelly Town End) and the Alan Kelly Town End - the Invincibles will not be open for standard tickets.

All tickets are now on sale to those registered on the club's database on or before 18th July 2019, with no seats reserved for season ticket holders, due to the short sale period for the game.

Supporters are advised to purchase in advance to avoid queues on matchday, with plenty of ways to purchase your ticket making it easier than ever to buy in advance.

Print at home e-tickets are available for the first time and are available on MyPNE.Com, the printed version is then just presented and scanned at the turnstiles, the same way the member and season cards already are making it easy to get your ticket for matchdays.

Supporters who have a member card or season card (if it is your same seat - anyone buying an alternative seat will need to print at home or collect a paper ticket) can purchase their ticket and load it straight to their card, avoiding the need to collect a paper ticket or wait for it to arrive in the post.

Tickets can be purchased over the phone on 0344 856 1966, in person from the ticket office or online at www.mypne.com.

Hospitality tickets are also available for this fixture, with three different lounges or packages available now.

The Invincibles Lounge will be available, serving a one course carvery, whilst the Sir Tom Finney Lounge will also be open, with a two-option, one course offering, with tea and coffee at half-time in both lounges.

Hospitality in both lounges is priced £40 for adults, £35 concessions and £30 juniors and can be booked by emailing the commercial department on commercial@pne.com or by calling 0344 856 1960.

Executive boxes are also available. These accommodate ten guests and include a two-course meal. They are priced at £599 including VAT and can be booked using the same email or contact number above.
