PNE To Travel To Bradford In Carabao Cup

20 June 2019

Preston North End have been drawn away to Bradford City in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

The Lilywhites were drawn against Gary Bowyer's side on Thursday evening, who will play in League Two this season following their relegation at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

North End last faced Bradford City at Valley Parade in 2015, when the Lilywhites ran out 3-0 winners in League One, the season in which PNE secured promotion back to the Championship.

The two sides have previously gone head to head in the League Cup, that was back in August 2010 in the second round of the competition at Valley Parade.

That night, Keith Tracey fired in the winner in extra time was enough to secure a place in the third round after the sides were level at 1-1 after 90 minutes.

The first round fixtures are set to be played week commencing 12th August with further details to be confirmed in due course.
