Aston Villa's victory at Wembley on Monday secured their place in the Premier League alongside Norwich City and Sheffield United who both secured automatic promotion at the end of the regular season.
Derby County's defeat means they will ply their trade in the Championship once again next season, with Huddersfield Town, Fulham and Cardiff City all returning to the second tier of English football after relegation from the Premier League.
Luton Town were promoted as League One champions and joining the Hatters in promotion to the Championship are runners up Barnsley and Play-Off winners Charlton Athletic.
There will be no trip to Ipswich Town, Bolton Wanderers or Rotherham United this season with all three teams relegated to League One at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
The Championship fixtures will be announced on Thursday 20th June at 9am, when North End will find out their schedule for the 2019/20 season.
