Youth team midfielder Ben Dooley has been nominated for the LFE Goal of the Month award for October for his superb match-winning goal against Oldham Athletic last month.
The first year scholar, who turned 17 last month, struck into the top corner from the edge of the box with his weaker left foot inside the early stages of the visit to the Latics’ Chapel Road Training Ground.
The youngster’s effort was the only goal of the game, with the subsequent victory the second game of what is now a five-match unbeaten run for the young Lilywhites.
Voting is now open to decide the winning effort for October, with the goal with most votes being entered into the LFE’s Goal of the Season award at the end of the campaign.
You can vote for Ben’s goal on the LFE website by clicking here. Voting closes at 12 noon on Tuesday 19th November. Academy graduates Adam O’Reilly and Jack Baxter both won the LFE Goal of the Month award at various stages last term.
