The draw for the Emirates FA Cup third round will take place from 7pm on Monday 2nd December.
North End will find out their third round opponents before the clash with West Bromwich Albion on Monday evening, with the draw to take place live on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
Premier League and Championship clubs all join the competition at this stage, and the Lilywhites will be ball number 31 in the draw.
The draw will be conducted by Tony Adams and Micah Richards at the Etihad Stadium, home of the holders Manchester City.
