Preston North End's Lancashire Cup quarter-final tie with Barrow has been cancelled, after the Lilywhites' opponents were unable to raise to a team.
Alex Neil's side had been due to face Ian Evatt's team in the Interfit Lancashire Senior Cup game at Springfields on Wednesday 13th November, with a 1pm kick-off.
However, the scheduled visitors have forteited the tie, with North End receiving a bye through to the semi-final of the competition due to injuries and the unavailability of their youth players.
Possible opponents in the semi-finals include Blackburn Rovers, who overcame Everton 4-3 in their semi; Burnley, who play AFC Fylde this afternoon (Tuesday) and Wigan Athletic or Morecambe, who are the final of the four quarter-final ties.
