PNE To Mark Remembrance Weekend At Huddersfield Fixture

6 November 2019

Preston North End will mark this year's Remembrance weekend at the Huddersfield Town fixture on Saturday.

North End host the Terriers the day before Remembrance Sunday, and once again the club will pay tribute to those who gave their lives serving our country.

The first team squad will once again wear home shirts bearing poppies for this weekend's game, after first wearing them in last weekend's game against Charlton Athletic.

These shirts will be up for auction with all proceeds going to The Royal British Legion. Full details of the auction will be confirmed in due course.

Ahead of kick-off, both teams will be accompanied out on to the pitch by service personnel when a wreath will be placed in the centre circle by the North End captain on the day.

Both sides will then gather around the centre circle when The Last Post will be played before a moment of silence is held.

We would ask supporters to be in the stands ahead of the minute's silence where possible.

You can also show your support with a PNE poppy pin badge, these are available from the club shop and ticket office at Deepdale, priced at just £3 with all profits going to The Royal British Legion.
