Ben Pearson was also on the scoresheet that day in the 5-1 win at Deepdale, and his first goal in three years is the second goal shortlisted after he raced from inside his own half to slam home at the far post.
The final two goals up for this month's award come courtesy of Tom Barkhuizen who has enjoyed an impressive October with four goals in the last four games.
His goal against Leeds United is shortlisted after he opened the scoring in an entertaining clash at Deepdale, while his stunning winner in the Derby day win over Blackburn Rovers is also up for the award.
