North End face Middlesbrough for the 100th time in competitive action when they head to the Riverside Stadium on Tuesday night.
And having picked up their first win on Teeside in nearly 50 years with the 2-1 success earlier this season, they will look to make it two wins there in a calendar year against Jonathan Woodgate’s side.
However, they know they will face a tough task as the home side will be looking to show what they are about and bounce back from a home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.
It is also the first away game of the season available to PNE supporters in the UK and Ireland on iFollow PNE with full four camera coverage and a commentary team including former PNE defender Liam Chilvers on the gantry up in the north east.
With the top four all playing each other this midweek, it is a chance for North End to make ground on those directly above them and manager Alex Neil says he will be concentrating on his own team’s efforts.
