If history tells us anything, we are pretty much guaranteed goals when the weekend’s two sides meet at Deepdale... but don’t blame us if it’s goalless!
There hasn’t actually been a 0-0 draw between PNE and the Bees at Deepdale in 28 league encounters, with four or more goals scored in more than 50 per cent of the games played!
Thomas Frank’s side, full of quality players picked up from across the globe, had a fantastic 3-0 home win over Derby County last time out and will arrive in PR1 full of confidence.
For PNE boss Alex Neil is only likely to have the squad from the trip Nottingham Forest available to him, with a number of players still absent, despite the break.
Last season’s clash between the two teams was one of the games of the season at Deepdale, with North End eventually running out 4-3 winners, having had a blistering start to the game; the manager will be looking for more of the same this weekend.
