Browne won the award ahead of Josh Cullen and former North End teammate Callum Robinson, with the category taking in to consideration player ahead 25 or younger who represented the senior men's team in the last year.

It's not the first time Browne has been recognised at international level, he picked up the Schools International Player of the Year in 2013 and the U21 Player of the Year in 2015.

Browne has made nine senior appearances for the national side to date, and back in September he scored his first international goal in a 3-1 friendly win against Bulgaria in Dublin.
