Midfielder Josh Harrop has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for January!
Josh was in fine form last month with two goals in four league games, and contributed to two others as North End bounced back to end the month with two wins and a draw.
Harrop scored two stunning strikes last month, the first coming in the Lancashire derby against Blackburn Rovers. The 24-year-old smashed home the equaliser on the half volley from the edge of the penalty area to earn North End a point at Ewood Park.
The following game Harrop was on the scoresheet again, this time curling a beautiful left-footed shot in to the top corner from the edge of the penalty area, as North End came from behind to beat Charlton Athletic 2-1 at Deepdale.
Josh also got an assist in that game, setting up the winning goal with his corner for Patrick Bauer to head home against his former club.
Those two league goals made it three goals in three consecutive games in all competitions for Harrop who was also on the scoresheet in the FA Cup clash with Norwich City at Deepdale.
Josh faces competition from Fulham defender Michael Hector, Nottingham Forest's Joe Lolley and Nakhi Wells, who featured for QPR last month ahead of his move to Bristol City.
The winner will be announced on Friday 7th February, with the judging panel including Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Communications Director Mark Rowan and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
