Brentford v Preston North End Match Preview

14 July 2020

It is three games to go, nine points to play for and two points between the Lilywhites and a Play-Off position.

And the next test in front of them is Brentford, currently in a seven-game winning streak, that stretched back before lockdown, so it is certainly a tough test on what could be the club’s last trip to Griffin Park.

The home of the Bees for over a century will be raised to the ground in the coming weeks, with Thomas Frank’s side moving to their new stadium for the start of the 2020/21 campaign, which they hope will be in the Premier League.

North End boss Alex Neil had a few selection dilemmas for the trip to the capital. Ben Davies is definitely ruled out with a hamstring ‘nick’ and Ben Pearson was taken off at half-time against Nottingham Forest, with Alan Browne missing the game altogether.

So there will be decisions to be made and PNE will definitely head into the fixture as underdogs, but will look to keep the fight going for a top six finish with a positive result in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
