Club Statement: Coronavirus

13 March 2020

In light of this morning’s decision to postpone the professional game in England until 3rd April 2020 at the earliest, the club can confirm the following measures that are now in place at Preston North End.

Tickets and Travel

With the trip to Luton Town and the home games against Cardiff City and Derby County now postponed, supporters who have purchased tickets for any of those three games should take note of the following:

After discussions with Luton Town, they have asked that no refunds are made at this stage until a new date for the fixture at Kenilworth Road is confirmed, once the new date is confirmed, should supporters require a refund at that stage, they will be able to do this via the ticket office. As this is Luton Town’s home fixture, the club must adhere to this.

For supporters who purchased coach travel for this fixture through the club, a full refund will be available and supporters can do this by contacting the ticket office on 0344 856 1966.

Those who have purchased a match ticket for the home games against Cardiff City or Derby County will be able to use their ticket at the rearranged fixture, or if required, fans can receive a full refund, this can be processed by calling the ticket office on 0344 856 1966. Please note that there will be no refunds on season cards, as the season is expected to be completed at a later date.

Our policy for Derby County or Cardiff City supporters who purchased tickets in the away end at Deepdale through their clubs is that they will be eligible for a full refund and this can be done by contacting the Derby County or Cardiff City ticket offices respectively.

First Team

Unfortunately, the first team squad will not be making any player appearances in the community for the foreseeable future. The first team players and management will also be unable to shake hands, sign autographs or pose for photographs with supporters until further notice.

Please also note that only essential visitors will be granted access to the first team training ground, and those who attend must adhere to a personal health disclaimer.

Preston North End Community and Education Trust

Preston North End Community and Education Trust (PNECET) have made the following decisions:

  • No player appearances will take place for the foreseeable future
  • All primary school provision will continue as normal following government advice
  • Discussions are ongoing regarding the education programmes that are delivered at PNE
  • Due to the vulnerability of the those who attend, both the Sporting Memories and Walking Football sessions have been cancelled until further notice
  • All other programmes that are delivered off-site will continue as normal

Commercial

All bookings made in hospitality for either the Cardiff City or Derby County fixtures will be held and transferred to the date of the rearranged fixture, however if you wish to receive a refund this can be requested. All supporters who have booked on a match by match basis will be contacted by the commercial team in due course to discuss their options.

Supporters who have a season card in hospitality will not be eligible for a refund, as the season is still expected to be completed.

Please note that the Player Sponsors’ event later this month has also been cancelled and all those due to attend will be contacted directly in due course.

Academy

Training has been cancelled for all age groups from U9s to U16s, as well as the club’s pre-Academy and development centres, until further notice. All fixtures have also been suspended for all Academy teams, including the U18s.  Please note that the U18s will continue to train as normal.

General

All visitors reporting to the main office reception or PNECET offices at Deepdale must adhere to a personal health disclaimer. This will be available on arrival and must be completed before attending any meetings with club staff on club premises.

There will also be additional hand sanitiser dispensers around club facilities and visitors are reminded to use these on entering club premises.

Heathcotes&Co

All events organised through Heathcotes&Co at Deepdale will continue as planned. If you have any queries about a booking, please contact our catering partner directly by emailing prestoninfo@heathcoteandco.com.
