On this day back in 2008, PNE ran out 2-1 winners against local rivals Burnley to give the Lilywhites a four win in five games.
It was a tense Lancashire derby at Deepdale and Tamas Priskin put North End ahead within the first five minutes with a superb strike from 18 yards.
James O'Connor levelled the score with a long range strike making it 1-1 before the break but Chris Brown scored from close range ten minutes in to the second half to secure the derby day win for the Lilywhites.
The win saw North End continue their impressive form with 13 points from a possible 15 in their last five games under Alan Irvine who had joined the club four months earlier to help guide the club to safety in the Championship.
PNE ended the season in 15th place and went on to reach the Play-Offs in 2009 in Irvine's first full season in charge.
