Preston North End U18s will face Oldham Athletic or Lincoln City in the third of the FA Youth Cup.
North End will enter the competition at the third round stage having made a strong start to the 2020/21 campaign, sitting second in the North West Youth Alliance with six league matches played.
The young Lilywhites will learn their opponents when Oldham host Lincoln on Wednesday 18th November, with a 7pm kick-off at Boundary Park.
The youth team have fared well in the FA Youth Cup in recent seasons and last term tasted victory at the third round stage against Category One side Bristol City, with a 2-0 win at Deepdale.
Another triumph followed in the fourth round when Ethan Walker scored a brace to seal another 2-0 victory at Deepdale, this time against Oxford United, before North End were eliminated at the fifth round stage.
All third round ties must be played by Saturday 12th December, with a date for the Lilywhites’ third round trip to be announced once the opposition has been confirmed.
