2020/21 Season Card Update

24 September 2020

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement about the latest measures to combat Covid-19, Preston North End have considered its options with regards to season cards and are now able to announce its plans to supporters.

It is clear from the information announced by the Prime Minister and the government, that supporters will not be allowed back into stadia for some time. In light of this continued uncertainty we are proposing three alternatives for those fans who have shown the club incredible support, in the most difficult of times, by having already purchased their 2020/21 season cards, both in the stand and in hospitality. The three alternatives are:

1. Supporters can choose to retain their season ticket for the 2020/21 season and will be able to attend all remaining PNE home fixtures as soon as Government legislation permits fans back into stadiums (subject to restrictions). Prior to being allowed back into stadiums these supporters will receive free access to iFollow PNE for all remaining 2020/21 home league games. In addition to this they will receive free access to the seven midweek away games scheduled and available to the club to offer via iFollow PNE (subject to these games being played behind closed doors).

2. All supporters who have purchased a season card for the 2020/21 season will be able to apply for a full refund, should they wish to receive their money back.

3. Supporters can choose not to claim a refund, but they can carry this payment over and take it as payment in full for a 2021/22 season card, effectively fixing the price of their 2021/22 season card regardless of which division the club are playing in or any price changes announced in advance of that season. Supporters who choose to take this option, will also receive the benefit of free access to iFollow PNE for the live fixtures away at Queens Park Rangers and Reading as an added bonus.

The club will be sending a letter to all those who have committed to a 2020/21 season card, as well as an email for those who have their email address registered on the system. This will set out the three options and three ways in which season card holders can inform us of their chosen option, which will be by return letter, via an online questionnaire or via phone.

Season card holders are asked to confirm their chosen option before 5pm on Monday 12th October, to allow us to contact everyone to either process the refund or provide the necessary code to access iFollow PNE from the Cardiff City fixture on Sunday 18th October onwards.

All 2020/21 season card holders will be contacted via email or letter in the coming week to select their option. Please do not contact the ticket office directly to select your option at this stage, if you have not had any contact from the club by Wednesday 7th October, then please call 0344 856 1966 or email ticketoffice@pne.com.

Supporters living within the same household will be required to make the same decision with regards to their season cards.

Supporters who have purchased a 2020/21 car park pass will be contacted directly by the ticket office with the option of a full refund or credit for the 2021/22 season.

As previously stated, all 2020/21 season card holders will receive a access code for Saturday's fixture against Stoke City, these will be sent to supporters via email by close of play on Thursday.

These have been unprecedented times and everyone at the club has been heartened by the support and ideas from supporters who have been in touch with regards to funding during what will be a difficult period for our industry and for the country in general and we would like to thank everyone for their continued support and patience as we deal with this matter as swiftly and efficiently as possible.
