The latest Government announcement regarding gatherings of groups in excess of six individuals at a time do not currently appear to affect the return to stadia arrangements that we are putting in place.
We acknowledge that this is a moving feast and we will keep it under daily review.
We are currently selling season tickets on a heavily restricted basis assuming that we will be able to play with crowds from our home match scheduled to take place on Saturday October 17th 2020. To date nothing has been said to change this position.
If circumstances dictate that we have to review this position we will do so if and when necessary.
If we are not allowed to restart with crowds on 17th October we will revisit our ‘no refunds policy’ for the coming season.
On a separate note we are experiencing a significant level of frustration from some of our supporters regarding seat allocation having renewed their season cards. In an environment with social distancing and limited crowds we regrettably cannot satisfy everyone’s first choice preference.
In practice, approximately 75 per cent of the stadium is unusable in the first phase of returning crowds, which by definition means that large numbers of supporters will be unable to use their original seat for the coming season. We have already stated that as soon as we are back to normal we will work on the 2019/20 seating plan for future seasons’ allocations.
Whilst we understand the frustrations of our fans, any abuse, verbal or otherwise of our staff, who are doing their very best to accommodate all requirements in extremely difficult circumstances, will not be tolerated. In such unprecedented times we would ask you to appreciate we are doing all that we can to give you the best allocation that we can.
