Preston North End are delighted to confirm that Mike Marsh will join new manager Ryan Lowe at the club as first team coach.

Mike, who joins the current coaching setup at PNE, arrives at Deepdale with a wealth of experience, having been part of recent Play-Off campaigns with Huddersfield Town and Swansea City.

He was also part of Steve Cooper’s staff in the England U17 setup, helping to lead them to victory in the 2017 FIFA World Cup, as well as working at Liverpool.

Speaking of the addition of Mike, manager Ryan Lowe said: “First and foremost Mike is a fellow scouser; he’s a very, very good coach.

“He finished in the Play-Off areas with Swansea over the course of his campaign there. He’s worked with another magnificent coach in David Wagner at Huddersfield and ultimately he’s worked at Liverpool Football Club which is massive for me.

“He’s worked under Brendan Rodgers, he’s worked on the England scene in different age groups.

“He’s a fantastic coach but more importantly he’s a fantastic, hard-working man, and when I gave him the call to say do you want to come and join us, he couldn’t wait to say yes.”
