Preston North End have turned the loan deals of Greg Cunningham and Ched Evans into contracts until the end of the current season.
Both players had joined on loan until the same end date during the January transfer window, but with seven loan players it would have meant two of the new recruits would have had to sit out of the matchday squads.
However, with the confirmation from the EFL and the FA that both the No.37 and No.26’s deals had been ratified in time, manager Alex Neil is able to include all his acquisitions from the month in his 20-man group for games, if he chooses.
The submission and confirmation was received in time for Saturday’s home game against Rotherham United, meaning the duo, plus Anthony Gordon, Jayson Molumby, Sepp van den Berg, Liam Lindsay and Daniel Iversen – against his former club – could all play against the Millers.
