Preston North End manager Alex Neil has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship manager of the month award for December.
North End won five of their eight fixtures last month, a run which began with an impressive win away to AFC Bournemouth at the start of the December.
The wins included an emphatic home win against Middlesbrough, and three consecutive wins against Bristol City, Derby County and Coventry City.
The Lilywhites picked up 16 points throughout the month, scoring 13 goals as North End climbed the Championship table.
Alex has been shortlisted alongside Norwich City boss Daniel Farke, Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Barnsley’s Valerien Ismael.
The winners will be announced on Friday 8th January, with the judging panel comprising of former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL communications director Mark Rowan and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
