Preston North End will host Manchester United at Deepdale on Saturday 31st July in the final game of pre-season.
The fixture, which will get underway at 2pm, will be the first opportunity for supporters to return to Deepdale to watch a game since March 2020.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will make the short journey to Lancashire off the back of friendlies against Queens Park Rangers and newly-promoted Premier League side Brentford.
Many of the United players who have been on international duty, both at Euro 2020 and Copa America, should be back with the team and could play a part against PNE.
Meanwhile, for the Lilywhites this will be the conclusion to their pre-season schedule and the last game before the Championship season begins a week later against Hull City.
Ticket details for this fixture will be announced within the next 48 hours.
