Preston North End’s first round tie in the Carabao Cup against Mansfield Town will take place on Tuesday 10th August at 7.45pm.
The trip to Nottinghamshire follows the opening game of the Championship season at Deepdale, with PNE hosting Hull City three days before.
North End met Mansfield at the same stage of the same competition last season, but the fixture fell in the middle of pre-season and marked the Lilywhites’ first competitive game of the campaign.
It proved to be a great start to 2020/21, with goals from Tom Barkhuizen, Sean Maguire, Patrick Bauer and Josh Harrop contributing to a 4-0 win which earned a place in the second round.
