Preston North End will face Premier League champions Manchester City on Tuesday 27th July as part of their pre-season schedule.
The fixture will take place at City’s Academy Stadium, which is located just across the road from the Etihad, and will get underway at 7pm.
We are anticipating that away supporters will be allowed to attend this fixture, although we are yet to receive absolute confirmation on this. As soon as we have confirmation on any away allocation, ticket details will be announced.
Pep Guardiola’s side raced away to the Premier League title last season, while also lifting the EFL Cup and making it to the Champions League final for the first time in club history, only to be beaten at the last hurdle by Chelsea.
Many of the City squad have had a busy summer of international football, too, with both Euro 2020 and Copa America running throughout June and July.
It hasn’t been all that long since these two last met in a competitive fixture, having faced each other in September 2019 in an EFL Cup tie at Deepdale, and it was City who came out on top with a 3-0 victory.
