PNE’s festive fixtures for the 2021/22 season have been confirmed, with the Lilywhites set to enjoy home comforts on Boxing Day.
North End will welcome Slavisa Jokanovic’s Sheffield United to Deepdale on Sunday 26th December, just over a week on from a trip to Millwall on Saturday 18th December.
The last game of 2021 will be played at the Hawthorns on Wednesday 29th December as PNE take on another of last season’s relegated Premier League teams in the shape of West Brom.
Frankie McAvoy will then see in the new year at the bet365 Stadium against Stoke City, a ground where the Lilywhites have enjoyed plenty of success in recent years, unbeaten there in the last three visits.
North End won 2-0 away at Stoke in both 2019 and 2020, with Alan Browne on the scoresheet on both those occasions, before a 0-0 draw towards the end of last season.
