PNE To Host First And Final Game Of The 2021/22 Season

24 June 2021

Preston North End are set to start and finish the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship season with home games at Deepdale.

The Lilywhites will host newly-promoted Hull City on the opening day of the campaign on Saturday 7th August, while the regular season will conclude back on home turf against Middlesbrough on Saturday 7th May.

North End’s first away trip of the season will be down to Berkshire to face Reading at the Madejski Stadium, a ground where PNE picked up a brilliant 3-0 victory in November 2020.

The long-awaited first Lancashire derby between PNE and Blackpool since 2013 will be played at Bloomfield Road on Saturday 23rd October, with the reverse fixture taking place on Saturday 19th March.

Frankie McAvoy’s side will also take on Blackburn Rovers away from home on Saturday 4th December, before then welcoming them to Deepdale on the third-to-last game of the season, on Saturday 23rd April.

Deepdale will be the venue for a Boxing Day clash against Sheffield United before the Lilywhites travel to West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City on Wednesday 29th December and Saturday 1st January 2022 respectively.

North End will also play on home soil on Good Friday when Millwall come to PR1, while Easter Monday will be spent on the banks of the River Thames, as PNE face Fulham.
