Preston North End have been drawn away to Mansfield Town in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The two teams faced each other at the same stage of the competition last season, when the League Two side came to Deepdale in August 2020 and PNE comfortably came out on top of that one, winning 4-0.
Tom Barkhuizen, Sean Maguire and Patrick Bauer got the Lilywhites off to a flying start within the first 30 minutes before Josh Harrop scored a fourth in the second half.
North End also faced the Stags in the same, albeit differently named, competition back in 2004 and it was the same scoreline on that occasion, with Richard Cresswell and Graham Alexander among those on the scoresheet.
The tie is scheduled to take place the week commencing 9th August, however clubs are able to mutually agree an alternative date prior to that week if preferred.
