Preston North End captain Alan Browne will serve a three-match suspension following his red card against Middlesbrough on Tuesday evening.
The club appealed the length of suspension due to believing this was ‘clearly excessive’ for the incident, considering the provocation of the assault by Boro’s Sam Morsy, however, following the hearing by an independent three-man FA panel, a majority voted for the three-match suspension to be upheld.
The No.8 will now miss the upcoming fixtures against Luton Town, Norwich City and Swansea City and will be back in contention for the visit of Brentford on Saturday 10th April.
