The Lilywhites’ No.31 says that the confidence in the dressing room is in a good place after the weekend’s big win over Huddersfield Town, which included his third goal – which he admits that if it had been scored by one of the top teams in the country, would be being shown wall to wall on Sky Sports News.

“A win always helps,” Scott told iFollow PNE. “When you get a good performance and a great win, it gives you that confidence going into the next game, which we have got.

“It was a great team goal and if it was a top team scoring it, then I am sure it would have got highlighted more, but it just goes to show that we are creating a lot of chances now and getting the goals.

“It was a great ball from Barky. I just had to keep my eye on it and make sure I made a good contact with the ball.

“It was a good performance on Wednesday and a good point and we had to make sure that we followed up that and it was good to get the win, a great team performance and the three goals.”

Alex Neil On Tough Decisions Ahead Of Lions

On Tuesday the team make their third trip to the capital this season and with wins already recorded at Brentford and QPR, North End are looking to get another positive performance and result.

“We have had some good performances in London and we just need to keep it up,” continued the former Manchester City and Chelsea winger. “Our away form has been great this season so far and we have to look to continue that and get another three points and another good team performance.

“My record has been good. Every time I get on the pitch, I am looking to score goals and a lot of my goals have come away from home, so hopefully that continues and I can get another one on Tuesday night.

“It is nice to be closing in on double figures. To get to that mark would be great for me and I will be concentrating on doing well for the team and getting that next goal.”

The arrival of fellow attacker Ched Evans has been a big plus for Scott: “It has helped me. Ched has come in and done amazingly. He has fit straight into the team, he offers a different dimension, he holds the ball up, he brings me into play.

“You saw in the last game when he put me in, which I should have tucked away – but Pottsy scored – so he is a great all-round striker.

A Match To Remember: Millwall

“There is always more to come from the partnership; that will come with more consistency of playing with each other and playing with the team. We have been building on it and each game it has got better and better.

“The manager wants us to be as aggressive as possible and he wants us as forwards to create chances and score goals and hopefully we can keep continuing to do that and win games.”

And what of our midweek opponents? “We all know it is going to be a really tough game. Every game we play is so different and it is always a hard game against them.

“They have got the most draws in the division and hopefully we can counter-attack on that and make sure that we do what is needed to win the game,” he added.
