Preston North End will face Callum Davidson’s St Johnstone on Tuesday 13th July at 7pm as part of their 2021/22 season preparations.
Frankie McAvoy’s side will play the Saints as part of a pre-season training camp in Scotland, with the game against Celtic to then follow on Saturday 17th July.
Former PNE defender Davidson had a hugely impressive first year in management last season with the Scottish Premiership side, leading them to two domestic trophies – the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup.
Davidson is not the only connection with North End at St Johnstone, with former Lilywhite Stevie May part of their squad, and his ten goals in all competitions in the last campaign made him the team’s top goalscorer.
Details on how supporters can follow the game, as well as the other confirmed fixtures, will be communicated at a later date when we have confirmation from the government, local authorities and the host clubs over whether or not supporters can attend.
