Bid On A Matchworn Shirt In Aid Of Royal British Legion

8 November 2021

Preston North End supporters can get their hands on signed matchworn shirts from our Remembrance fixture against Luton Town last month, with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

The North End squad all wore poppies on their shirt for the 2-0 victory over Luton to pay respect to those who served and continue to serve our country, making the ultimate sacrifice.

As soon as the game kicked off, the shirts were made available for auction and over £3,500 has already been raised for the Royal British Legion.

This year marks the centenary of the Royal British Legion. For 100 years the Armed Forces Charity has cared for our active and retired service personnel and their families by supporting them in a variety of ways.

The signed shirts – of 21 players from the PNE squad – will remain on sale until 2pm on Saturday 20th November.
