Sepp Plays 90 Minutes In Netherlands U21 Victory

12 November 2021

Sepp van den Berg played 90 minutes on his full debut for Netherlands U21s in a 3-1 victory over Bulgaria.

The PNE loanee, who made his first appearance for the U21s in the last international break off the bench against Wales, was included in the starting line-up for their European Championship qualifier on Friday evening.

His side fell behind 19 minutes in, but Coventry City’s Ian Maatsen levelled the scoring on 38 minutes before Sepp went into the book just before half-time.

The Young Lions then stepped up their game in the second period, with two goals from Joshua Kirkzee sealing the third victory of their qualification campaign.

They stay second in their group, with ten points from their four games played, and three points behind leaders Switzerland, who have played a game more than the Dutch.

Next up for Sepp and his team-mates is a 1pm kick-off against Gibraltar on Monday afternoon.
