First year scholar Kian Taylor described scoring the winning goal against Blackpool as ‘unbelievable’ as PNEU19 emerged victorious on derby day at Springfields.
PNEU19 were 1-0 winners in Saturday’s Youth Alliance League fixture thanks to North End fan Taylor’s late strike in the second half.
“I don’t score goals that often but to get one in against Blackpool is unbelievable, there’s nothing better.
“After being in that away end last Saturday and feeling that heartbreak, I feel I’ve put amends to it and the feelings much better now.”
On the game itself North End dominated proceedings from start to finish and picking up a second clean sheet of the season was another highlight for Taylor.
“The team performed very well, we had lots of chances and probably should have put more away.
“We defended really well, we’ve not kept many clean sheets this season and that’s something we want to improve on, but this is another clean sheet and something we can use to kick on.”
This result marks five wins from seven in the Youth Alliance League for North End leaving them at the top end of the table and Taylor believes their aim should be to win it all.
‘We are right up there in the league, and we do want to get as high up as we can and possibly even win the league.”
