Club captain Alan Browne is our cover star for Wednesday night’s programme, on an evening which could mark a very special moment in his career, given that he could make his 300th appearance for the club.
Only 26 men have reached that milestone in the history of Preston North End Football Club, so he joins a very exclusive group which includes the likes of Sir Tom Finney and Alan Kelly Senior.
It’s a remarkable achievement which probably couldn’t have been imagined by many when a thin-bodied, baby-faced, 18-year-old Irishman arrived in Lancashire back in 2014.
Speaking to The One And Only about his move to PNE all those years ago, Alan said: “It was amazing and something I could have only dreamed of.
“When I came over, I loved everything about the club: the people, the place, and when I first saw the stadium I was just in awe of it.
“I didn’t expect a League One team at that time to have a stadium like Deepdale. Even in the Championship now I would say it’s one of the best stadiums. Everything kind of fell into place for me after that and I went for it and never went back.
“It was kind of like I packed my bags and was forced to grow up. I was living at home at the time with my mum and didn’t really know what to do to be honest.”
There’s loads more from Browney in the programme as he talks more about the early stages of his career at PNE, happy memories from Wembley and looks ahead to his future at the club.
Also in this edition of the programme, Ben Whiteman answers fan questions, Liam Lindsay talks us through the favourite game of his career and we have all of our usual historical and away team content.
