Alan Browne has been called-up to the Republic of Ireland squad for their games against Azerbaijan and Serbia.
PNE’s club captain has been capped 14 times by his country previously and he will now join up with his international team-mates ahead of their next two World Cup qualifiers.
After losing out late on to Portugal on Wednesday evening, the Ireland squad returned home and will welcome Azerbaijan to the Aviva Stadium on Saturday for a 5pm kick-off.
Serbia are then next up for Stephen Kenny’s men on Tuesday evening, with the game getting underway at 7.45pm.
Browne's former club team-mate Callum Robinson is also joining up with the squad, while ex-PNE players Jayson Molumby and Daryl Horgan are involved as well.
