Jordan Storey Extends Stay At PNE

20 September 2021

Preston North End are pleased to confirm defender Jordan Storey has signed a new contract with the club.

The centre half, who joined from Exeter City back in 2018, has put pen to paper on a new deal which will run until 2025.

Storey has featured 87 times in a PNE shirt since his arrival as a 20-year-old and he's been an integral part of the squad so far this term, featuring in every minute of Championship action.

Jordan said: “I’m delighted. I’ve been here for a few years now, I love the club, I love the area so it’s nice to get it done and dusted.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here and I want to keep progressing at the club so it was my main goal to stay here.

“I’ve learned a lot here. [I’ve had] a lot of experiences here and I just want to keep progressing and hopefully achieve something special with the club.”

Head coach Frankie McAvoy was delighted to see Jordan commit his future to the club and has been pleased with his progress since he joined three years ago.

"I think he’s done really well since he’s arrived," said Frankie. "Since I’ve taken over first as interim and then full-time, he’s done really well.

"He’s been a stalwart and for me he’s got a big future, hopefully at Preston North End. I’m delighted we’ve managed to secure him on a longer deal and I’m sure that’ll give him some more confidence in him knowing that he’s wanted.

"The biggest thing for me is he really wants to be here. He moved away from home a few years ago and he settled around this area which is really important for us, because he knows what being a part of Preston North End is all about."
