Liam Lindsay doesn’t see any reason why Preston North End can’t make a push for the Play-Offs next year after a first pre-season with manager Ryan Lowe.
The Scottish defender, with history of promotion himself out of League One with Barnsley, feels that there’s been a real improvement since the gaffer arrived, and that the team will only get better as time progresses.
He told The One And Only: “Obviously you don’t know who’s going to come in, who’s going to leave, but as a group right now we’ve got the players capable of doing it.
“I don’t see why we can’t push on and make the Play-Offs and try and get to the Premier League.
“The manager’s made that clear, that’s where he wants to take the team, and all the players obviously want to get there, so we just need to do it together.
“It was a bit different obviously in League One. We had a good team, but there’s better quality here and we’ve got a real togetherness.
“We’ve got a great group of lads here and that can make a massive difference.
“You need a bit of luck at times as well, that always helps, and just momentum which we’re trying to get in these last few games.”
