Daniel Johnson was on the scoresheet for ten-man Jamaica as they were beaten late on by Mexico in a World Cup qualifier.
DJ started the game in central midfield alongside Derby County’s Ravel Morrison for the first of three qualifiers in the current international break.
Jamaica went down to ten men in first-half stoppage time as Damion Lowe was shown a red card, before PNE’s No.11 opened the scoring for his country on 50 minutes, sending a left-footed effort in to the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
However, late goals from Mexico, in the 81st and 83rd minute, took the three points away from the Reggae Boyz, leaving them seven points behind a World Cup Play-Off place with five group games remaining.
Jamaica are next in action on Sunday evening as they face Panama at 11.05pm (UK time), before then returning home to play Costa Rica at midnight (UK time) on Wednesday 2nd February.
